Manchester United Legend Insists Louis Van Gaal Spends Even More Following £150m Summer Spree

This Manchester United legend disagrees with Louis van Gaal’s transfer policy and believes the Dutchman needs to spend more!

Manchester United’s Louis van Gaal has already spent a whopping £153m this summer bringing five players into Old Trafford, but club legend Gary Neville insists the manager needs to keep the cheque book open and splash out on another couple of players.

It is the opinion of many that van Gaal failed to strengthen key areas of the team, while forking out huge sums to bolster positions that were already saturated. Gary Neville seems to agree, stating that the Dutch manager needs at least a centre back and a central midfielder in January.

Having already signed Daley Blind and Ander Herrera for a combined £43m, both of whom play in central midfield, Neville seems to lack faith in the duo. The veteran defender doesn’t lack the same faith in loanee Radamel Falcao however, confident that he will come good this season.

With 602 appearances for Manchester United and 85 international caps with England, Gary Neville has quickly, and unexpectedly, become one of the best and most popular pundits on television. He always seems knowledgeable and well informed, so perhaps van Gaal should take note?
