Championship leaders Nottingham Forest host Derby County today, looking to extend their unbeaten start to the season to six games in the East Midlands derby.
The main team news is that Henri Lansbury and Jamaal Lascelles have both recovered from knee injuries so are available for Nottingham Forest, while midfielder David Vaughan (hamstring) and defender Kelvin Wilson (calf) are both also fit to face the Rams.
Derby are waiting to see if Jamie Ward will be fit after he suffered a hamstring injury on international duty with Northern Ireland. Jake Buxton is back from a hip injury but Jeff Hendrick is out for four weeks after dislocating a shoulder.
Steve McClaren’s team won the last meeting between these two sides 5-0 back in March, but this is a much improved Forest team now under the leadership of Stuart Pearce.
Derby fell to twelfth in the table after other results yesterday, but know a win would lift them back into the playoff places. The will be boosted by the knowledge that Forest have won only one of the last six meetings. Their only win since 2011 was 1-0 at the City Ground in September last year.
In addition, Derby have won two of their last three visits to the City Ground – they won 2-1 there in September 2011 and 1-0 in September 2012.
