According to recent rumours, Real Madrid star could be closing in on a sensational return to the Premier League as he holds talks with Chelsea, Manchester City and his old club Manchester United. The Portuguese international was one of the best players in England during his time here and has only improved further whilst at the Bernabeu.

9) Ezequiel Lavezzi (Paris Saint-Germain)
Linked numerous times with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, Ezequiel Lavezzi could make a fine addition to the Premier League if he is made available by Paris Saint-Germain this winter. The Argentine has not always found his best form for the French giants and they may be ready to let him go for the right price.

Although not quite a world class player just yet, there’s no doubt that Sporting Lisbon youngster William Carvalho is an exciting prospect with great potential. Arsenal are believed to be his main suitors and there’s no doubt they would benefit greatly from his presence in their team, while the Premier League could also enjoy another superb young talent making a name for himself in English football.
7) Mario Gotze (Bayern Munich)
After recently admitting he would be tempted to move abroad at some point in the future, it would be great to see a move for Mario Gotze happen for one of the top Premier League sides in the near future. Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have been placed on alert for his signature, and it could be that they will try their luck with a bid for him this January.

One of the best defenders in the world, Mats Hummels hasn’t been short of suitors from all around Europe in recent times, including from the big names in the Premier League. Arsenal and Manchester United tracked him over the summer, and it is likely that the Red Devils will try for him again in January as they remain in need of additions at the back.
5) Juan Cuadrado (Fiorentina)
A player who looked certain to leave Fiorentina for a bigger club this summer, Juan Cuadrado will surely be on his way out of the Serie A club this January, with the likes of Arsenal, Liverpol, Chelsea and Manchester United all waiting in the wings to snap him up if he does move, though they could also face competition from Barcelona for this exciting wide-man.

One of the finest playmakers in Europe at the moment, AS Roma star Kevin Strootman continues to attract strong interest from Manchester United. There’s no doubt the Dutch international would be just what United need in the middle of the park, and provide Premier League viewers with another class act to watch every week.

After being linked with Manchester United almost all summer, it could be that Arturo Vidal will finally make his eagerly-awaited move to the Premier League this January after establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in the world. The Chilean international has all the qualities to play in a more competitive league and would be very welcome in the English top flight.
2) Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund)
An absolutely superb talent, Marco Reus looks ever more likely to be on his way out of Borussia Dortmund in the near future, with Arsenal and Liverpool among the clubs linked with him in the summer. Manchester City are also expected to join the running for his signature next summer, but we hope a deal can be done in January to bring one of the world’s best attacking midfielders to the Premier League.

A powerhouse centre-forward, Edinson Cavani would make an excellent addition to the likes of Diego Costa, Radamel Falcao and Mario Balotelli who have all moved to England this summer. The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all been linked with the prolific Uruguayan in the past, and these teams could surely still benefit from his abilities this season, though he would likely cost big money to prise away from Paris Saint-Germain.
