5) Harry Redknapp – QPR

Redknapp has played Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League on 15 occasions during his career, with West Ham, Portsmouth, Southampton and QPR. He’s lost all 15 of them. This is the worst record at an individual stadium of any top flight boss since the Premier League began.

4) Adam Lallana – Liverpool

Lallana hadn’t featured at all for Liverpool because of an injury he picked up during pre-season, and his debut was a complete non-event. Playing mostly on the left wing, he failed to create anything whatsoever, and was subbed off after the hour mark, with his side losing 0-1. At £26m, he’ll need to do much better in the coming weeks.

3) Mathieu Debuchy – Arsenal

The poor Frenchman picked up a ligament injury against Manchester City, and is unlikely to be available again for three months. Debuchy had started life well at the Emirates, and he’ll be cursing his luck this week…

2) Alan Pardew – Newcastle

Pardew is hanging onto his job by a thread. Newcastle are rock bottom of the Premier League table, and the Magpies put in a shambolic performance against Southampton, falling to an embarrassing 4-0 defeat.

1) Mario Balotelli – Liverpool

Nothing went right for the Italian maverick on his Anfield debut. Aston Villa centre-back Senderos kicked him regularly, and wasn’t sent off, leaving Balotelli cutting a frustrated figure alone up top. He was hauled off early, much to his visible dismay as well.
