How Liverpool lined up in their last Champions League game in 2009/10
Liverpool will finally end their Champions League exile against Bulgarian side on Tuesday night, thus ending a five-year absence from the competition. With only Steven Gerrard left in the side, the rest of the squad now resemble a jumble of blurred memories for Reds fans as their new squad prepare for battle this time around.

After playing a bit part role with the Reds Cavalieri spent some time in Italy before returning home to turn out for Fluminense.

Made just one league appearance for the Reds and spent the bulk of his time at Anfield out on loan until he joined Bradford City 2012 on a permanent deal.

The Slovakian remains at the club, but looks set to miss out on their return through injury.

LB: Emiliano Insua
Following his Anfield exit in 2007, the Argentine featured for Galatasaray and Sporting Lisbon before joining Atletico Madrid last summer. However, he has been loaned out to Rayo Vallecano this term.

The midfield enforcer left Anfield for a big move to Barcelona in 2010, where he remains to this day.

The Italian international endured an unhappy spell in Merseyside and was quickly loaned out to Milan and Juventus until he linked up with Fiorentina in 2012.
LAM: Andrea Dossena
The 33-year-old made his way to Napoli in 2010 where he became a regular fixture. A short spell with Palermo in 2011 paved the way to Sunderland last season, though he was released over the summer and has yet to find a new club.
RAM: Yossi Benayoun
Now seeing out his career in his homeland, Benayoun departed Anfield in 2010 and went on to play for Arsenal, West Ham and QPR.
AM: Steven Gerrard
Still there, albeit further back in the midfield now.
ST: Dirk Kuyt
Now 34, the Dutchman is playing out the rest of his days in Turkey with Fenerbahce.
