Tim Cahill FIFA 15 Rating: Fans incensed over Socceroo’s rating in new game
EA Sports have reacted to outrage across social media and fan forums after former Everton man Tim Cahill was given a paltry rating of 69 in the latest edition of the popular football video game series.
Following backlash from FIFA 15 players, the game’s developers have increased Cahill’s rating from 69 to 74.
Fans of Cahill were incensed that the Socceroo that they threatened to “boycott” the game.
Cahill, who is a FIFA 15 ambassador and features on the cover of the Australian edition of the game, broke the news of his new rating on Twitter.
EA Sports blamed the rating on a “database error” that saw the New York Red Bulls attacker’s rating drop 12 points since leaving Everton in 2012.
