9) Julian Brandt (Bayer Leverkusen)
Still only 18 years old, Julian Brandt looks like one of the most exciting recent prospects to emerge from German football. The future certainly looks bright for the World Cup winners, with this Bayer Leverkusen attacker showing plenty of promise and attracting rumoured interest from Premier League giants Liverpool and Chelsea. This immensely gifted starlet would certainly be at home in the Premier League and will surely be on his way to a bigger team before long after his fine recent form in the Bundesliga, with three goals to his name already in just fourteen senior appearances for the club.

8) Adrien Rabiot (Paris Saint-Germain)
Linked strongly with Arsenal and Chelsea throughout the summer, Paris Saint-Germain starlet Adrien Rabiot is still on the radar of top clubs going into January, as he continues to stall on signing a new contract at the Parc des Princes. Italian sides such as AS Roma and Juventus are now being linked as the main contenders to sign him, and the 19-year-old midfielder should be heading for a move before long.

Only 17 years old, Patrick Roberts’ recent rise for Championship side Fulham is said to be attracting strong interest as the January transfer window approaches, with big names such as Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United all tracking the skillful attacker. The England youth international looks ready to compete at the top level and could make an excellent signing this winter with his contract at Craven Cottage set to expire in 2016.

Linked strongly with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, FC Basel’s promising young defender Fabian Schar could be the subject of much transfer speculation this January after his impressive form for the Swiss giants. Still only 22 years old, this intelligent centre-back looks a highly accomplished player who could benefit from a new challenge on the big stage. Other European giants such as Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan are also monitoring his situation, with the player possibly available for just £10m.

The superb 19-year-old has enjoyed a run in the Barca first-team this season and is already attracting strong interest from other top sides, though it is thought that he wants to remain at the Nou Camp and continue to fight for his place in Luis Enrique’s first-team.

After first attracting some interest last summer, PSV’s teenage wonderkid Zakaria Bakkali is set to be the subject of some transfer speculation again this January as he reportedly stalls on signing a new contract with the Eredivisie giants. The Belgian winger has been linked with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea in recent times and it would be no surprise to see one of the Premier League’s big boys snap him up if they got the chance, with the 18-year-old showing tremendous potential.

Not a first-team regular at Manchester United so far this season, the Red Devils may be in danger of losing their star youngster Adnan Januzaj, who is attracting rumoured loan interest from Juventus and Fiorentina after falling out of favour with new manager Louis van Gaal. The 19-year-old looked superb for United as he made his first-team breakthrough last season, establishing himself as one of the most promising young players in the Premier League and perhaps Europe.
