To commemorate this eight goal thriller, here are eight of the biggest comebacks in Premier League history:

8) Arsenal 4 – 4 Tottenham – 2008

Harry Redknapp’s first game in charge of Tottenham seemed like it was going to end in disaster, Arsenal holding a 4-2 lead as the 90th minute approached.

Jermaine Jenas curled an effort in that appeared to be nothing more than a consolation goal, but then in the dying moments Luka Modric saw an effort deflect onto the post, Aaron Lennon there to tap home and complete the comeback.

7) Newcastle 4 – 3 Leicester – 1997

The boot was on the other foot for Leicester this time, Emile Heskey putting his side 3-1 up and in control.

But Newcastle legend Alan Shearer completed a second half hatrick to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

6) Norwich 4 – 4 Middlesborought – 2005

Norwich saw a 1-0 lead turn into a 1-4 deficit, and with ten minutes remaining it looked like it would stay that way.

But goals from Dean Ashton, Leon McKenzie, and Adam Drury saw the Canaries grab a fantastic point.

5) Leeds United 4 – 3 Derby County – 1997

Going 3-0 down early on, Leeds United looked to be crumbling terribly.

But a fantastic volley from Harry Kewell sparked an unbelievable comeback, finished off with a Lee Bowyer injury time winner.

4) Manchester City 2-3 Fulham – 2008

A match that would have seen Fulham relegated had they failed to take all three points, the Cottagers looked Championship bound after going 2-0 down.

A Danny Murphy spot kick and a brace from Diomansy Kamara gave them an unlikely victory however, with the West London side going on to survive that season and remain in the Premier League.

3) Tottenham 3 – 5 Manchester United – 2001

A real game of two halves, the North London club dominated the first half, racing into a 3-0 lead.

After the break Manchester United opened the flood gates however, scoring five to overturn the deficit and give them all three points.

2) Chelsea 2 – 3 Arsenal – 1999

A memorable London derby, Chelsea looking well in control with a 2-0 lead and 15 minutes to play.

Nwankwo Kanu scored an unbelievable hatrick however, the final goal coming in the 90th minute to seal victory for the Gunners.

1) Newcastle 4 – 4 Arsenal – 2011

Arsenal on the other end of a comeback this time, with one of the most unbelievable matches in recent history.

Racing into a 0-4 lead before the break, the Gunners looked totally unstoppable; that was until Joey Barton provoked About Diaby into lashing out, the Frenchman seeing red and sent from the pitch.

Barton then went on to score twice from the spot before Andy Carroll made it 3-4. Setting the stage for one of the goals of the season from Cheik Tiote, an absolute rocket from a huge distance.
