The Premier League season is over a month old now but there are still some players who seem to be stuck in pre-season as their performances during the campaign so far have been poor. Here is the Worst Premier League XI so far.

GK. Simon Mignolet

The Belgian has routinely looked a liability in the Liverpool goal and could be dropped if he continues his poor performances.

RB. Rafael

Although he has only played two matches so far this season, Rafael has looked a defensive liability in both. The Brazilian doesn’t seem to be able to cope with the physicality of the Premier League and always seems one step away from making a mistake.

LB. Armand Traore

The left back hasn’t helped QPR’s cause so far this season with several poor performances at the back for the Super Hoops.

CB. Rio Ferdinand

Once, Rio Ferdinand was one of the great Premier League centre backs now however, he just looks a shadow of his former self. It appears the former Manchester United defender has lost all his pace and wasn’t even able to keep up with Peter Crouch during Saturday’s game with Stoke City.

CB. Martin Skrtel

Although Skrtel has been a regular fixture in Liverpool’s side over recent years, he hasn’t started this season well at all.

CM. Darren Fletcher

Played in all of Manchester United’s first three games of the season but wasn’t able to affect any of the matches in anyway. The Scot has been replaced by Daley Blind in United’s last few matches.

CM. Remy Cabella

The French midfielder has failed to show his true colours in a Newcastle shirt so far this season.

LM. Adam Lallana

So far this campaign, Lallana has failed to show that he is worth the £25 million that Liverpool paid for him.

RM. Aaron Ramsey

After being voted as Arsenal’s player of the season last term, Ramsey hasn’t started this campaign well and will need to improve rapidly if the Gunners are going to challenge for the title this season.

AMC. Wayne Rooney

The Manchester United captain has been deployed in his favoured position but has struggled to really control games so far this season. He has been one of many underperforming players at Old Trafford this campaign.

ST. Emmanuel Riviere

Another Newcastle summer signing that has failed to come to terms with life in the Premier League. The Frenchman has had a lot of chances created for him but he has failed to convert them.
