The one-time David Beckham successor eventually proved to only have a name in common with the ex-England captain and also pranged his Porsche 911 whilst drunk into a lamppost and earned a one-year driving ban.

Back in 2009 the Real Madrid striker managed to write off his Lamborghini Gallardo after losing control and crashing into a barrier and a tree.

Back in 2005, whilst already serving suspended sentence, the winger wrapped his car round a lamppost whilst drunk and uninsured – unsurprisingly he went to prison.
