Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain salvages point for Gunners from north London derby.
Honours ended even at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal and Tottenham played out a hard fought north London derby day draw.
Nacer Chadli gave Tottenham the lead against the run of play against an Arsenal side with plenty of possession but almost no cutting edge up front.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain leveled for Arsenal with a quarter of an hour left in the game, Danny Welbeck providing a superb ‘accidental’ assist for the goal.

Wojciech Szczesny – 6
Had very little to do and was powerless to stop Chadli’s goal.
Kieran Gibbs – 6.5
Got forward well enough and was stable at the back.
Per Mertesacker – 6.5
German was reliable perhaps partly at fault for Chadli’s goal
Laurent Koscielny – 7
Frenchman put in several solid tackles and kept Emmanuel Adebayor
Calum Chambers – 6.5
Good display but less noticeably so than his opening Arsenal efforts.
Mikel Arteta – 5
Even before he was taken off after half an hour the Spaniard looked off the pace.
Jack Wilshere – 6
Full of running and boundless energy though didn’t make enough of a telling touch in the final third.
Mesut Ozil – 7.5
Arguably Arsenal’s best player. Tried to spark life into his Gunners team-mates, some quality touches and a real desire
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 6.5
Scored the crucial goal and provided industry at times.
Aaron Ramsey – 5
Another oddly lifeless display before being subbed just before the break.
Danny Welbeck – 6
Lovely, accidental, dummy for Oxlde-Chamberlain but did little to worry Younes Kaboul and Jan Vertonghen.
Subs
Mathieu Flamini – 4
Frenchman made a mistake for Tottenham’s goal and was often late into the challenge and ineffective at breaking down opposition attacks.
Santi Cazorla – 7
Looked bright after coming on in place of Aaron Ramsey
Alexis Sanchez – 6
Involved in Arsenal’s goal but did little to prove to Wenger he was wrong to leave the Chilean out of the starting XI.
