French international spotted leaving before Merseyside derby.
Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho could be in hot water with manager Brendan Rodgers after reportedly storming out of the ground just an hour before kick off in the Merseyside derby.
Brendan Rodgers left out the France international from his team, and shortly after the club confirmed their starting line-up for the Merseyside derby, pictures appeared on social media which showed Sakho apparently leaving the stadium in a huff.
Caught on camera by Twitter user @RS51DHU, he snapped the moody defender storming to his car ‘not looking very happy’ and drove off before the game got started.
Though it is not confirmed that he stormed off for being dropped the news comes after the 24-year-old told Liverpool’s official website that he was keen to see how the Merseyside derby compared to Le Classique – the French derby clash between his former side Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille – suggesting that he had his heart set on playing.
All eyes will be on Liverpool in the coming days then.
