Here are the top ten best signings of the 2014/15 Premier League so far:

11) Fernando – Manchester City

A bit of an unsung hero at Manchester City this season, Fernando has played the enforcer role well and allowed others the freedom to get forward.

10) Fraser Forster – Southampton

Southampton have had a fantastic start to the season thanks in large part to a number of new signings, they have been especially solid at the back which has to be accredited to Forster.

9) Dusan Tadic – Southampton

The second Southampton man on the list, Tadic has added that creative spark to the team which probably would have been missing since the departure of Lallana.

8) Frank Lampard – Manchester City

Coming on and scoring that vital goal against his former club Chelsea already made the signing of Frank Lampard a fantastic one, and having scored several more times since then in the league and the cup City are looking at extending his loan.

7) Gylfi Sigurdsson – Swansea

Sigurdsson was a revelation during his first spell at Swansea, which is exactly what prompted Spurs to pick him up. After an unsuccessful spell in London he has returned to Wales however, and he looks to be picking up where he left off.

6) Angel di Maria – Manchester United

Manchester United may have been falling short of expectations so far, but di Maria certainly isn’t. He has been nothing short of superb for Louis van Gaal’s side, and the only reason he isn’t higher is because so far his impact has not resulted in the team as a whole improving.

5) Graziano Pelle – Southampton

With the loss of Rickie Lambert and the injury to Jay Rodriguez, Southampton badly needed a force up top. They managed to pick up the relatively unknown Pelle for a fantastic price, and he looks capable of leading the line superbly.

4) Alexis Sanchez – Arsenal

Although he hasn’t lit up the league like he was expected to, he has quietly been banging in the goals for the Gunners; who despite their position have not been at their fluid best. Once the Chilean beds into the team and things begin to click he could be unstoppable.

3) Leonardo Ulloa – Leicester City

Signed from Brighton & Hove Albion, nobody expected the rangy Argentine striker to find his Premier League feet so quickly. He’s bagged five goals in five appearances for the newly promoted side already.

2) Cesc Fabregas – Chelsea

Former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas made the controversial switch to Chelsea this summer, but it seems like it was the right move for the Spaniard. He has developed a wonderful partnership with Diego Costa and has been pulling all the strings for Jose Mourinho’s side this season.

1) Diego Costa – Chelsea

There was no doubt who was going to be number one, with the former Atletico Madrid striker netting an unbelievable eight times this season already. His goals are not the only thing he’s adding, with excellent hold up and link up play, but if he can keep up his goalscoring form he is sure to fire Chelsea to the title.
