Serie A side open to Anfield offer.
Napoli are reportedly ready to accept Liverpool’s advances for striker Gonzalo Higuain according to Football Italia.
The Serie A side are apparently open to the Anfield side’s projected £31m offer for the 26 year old, money boss Rafa Benitez would then use to fund a bid for FC Porto’s Jackons Martinez.
Speculation is rife that the former Real Madrid forward is unhappy in Naples and as such could be a player Brendan Rodgers looks to further strengthen an attack that has arguably failed to fill the void left by Luis Suarez’s move to Barcelona.
Liverpool have struggled for form this term and the acquisitions of Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli haven’t as yet paid off whilst Daniel Sturridge has struggled with injuries.
Higuain netted 107 goals in 190 La Liga appearances for Real Madrid and has racked up 27 goals in 55 matches since moving to Napoli in July 2013.
