Six La Liga Stars Set To Sign For Premier League Clubs In January, Including Liverpool & Man United Targets

Six La Liga stars attracting January transfer interest.

Some of the best players in the world are currently plying their trade in the Spanish top flight La Liga, though while Luis Suarez may have left Liverpool for Barcelona this summer after his superb displays in England last term, big names such as Angel Di Maria and Alexis Sanchez made their way in the opposite direction, adding plenty of quality to this league.

There could be more similar moves on the cards this January, with several big-name La Liga players being linked with Premier League clubs, with six of the most exciting potential deals picked out below:

6) Koke (Atletico Madrid)

Linked with Arsenal and Liverpool, Atletico Madrid playmaker Koke is a top midfielder and it is no surprise to see him attracting Premier League interest this season. The Spanish international was superb for Diego Simeone’s side last season as they won La Liga and reached the Champions League final, and has started this term in brilliant form as well, with one goal and five assists in just six games so far. Liverpool could do with strengthening after their slow start and there’s no doubt the 22-year-old would make a great addition at Anfield.

5) Paco Alcacer (Valencia)

A rumoured target for Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, talented young Valencia striker Paco Alcacer is another top talent currently on form in La Liga. The 21-year-old striker first burst onto the scene last season and has continued to impress this season with four goals and three assists in his first six appearances of the campaign.

4) Isco (Real Madrid)

One of the most exciting young players in Spain, Isco’s difficult time at Real Madrid has attracted the interest of Arsenal and Liverpool as January approaches, with the 22-year-old playmaker possibly looking to leave the Bernabeu just over a year after joining the club from Malaga, due to finding himself in and out of the team with some fierce competition for places in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

3) Miranda (Atletico Madrid)

A target for many top clubs during the summer, Atletico Madrid’s rock-solid Brazilian defender Miranda is attracting interest again as January approaches, with Manchester United believed to be his main admirers as Louis van Gaal continues to search for top class defensive signings. The Red Devils have looked unconvincing at the back this season and there’s no doubt Miranda could help tighten things up in that area.

2) Pedro (Barcelona)

A player out of form and increasingly out of favour at Barcelona, Pedro could be another La Liga-based star on his way to England this January as Arsenal and Liverpool show an interest in snapping him up. The Spanish international has been a great servant to Barca down the years, and could benefit from a new challenge abroad, adding some much-needed pace and goals to both these sides as they tussle for a place in the top four.

1) Karim Benzema (Real Madrid)

One of two big-name striker targets for Liverpool, Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is another star who could swap the Bernabeu for Anfield this January. The French international has been a world class goalscorer throughout his career and could make a great replacement for Luis Suarez in Brendan Rodgers’ side, though he would no doubt be expensive.
