Tottenham Jackson Martinez – Spurs leading the chase for goal machine

Arsenal – Danny Welbeck – Despite only signing for the club on deadline day, Danny Welbeck’s pace has made a clear impact on Arsenal’s performances, whilst he has already opened his Premier League account and scored a Champions League hat-trick.

Aston Villa – Philippe Senderos – Plenty of eyebrows were raised when Paul Lambert signed the experienced centre back from relegated Fulham, but he has turned things around for them at the back.

Burnley – Scott Arfield – Has scored the Clarets’ only Premier League goal to date, with a fine strike against Chelsea, and also brings real industry to midfield.

Chelsea – Cesc Fabregas – Despite the goals of Diego Costa clearly making a contribution, the most telling impact for Chelsea has come from playmaker Cesc Fabregas, with Nemanja Matic also superb.

Crystal Palace – Mile Jedinak – The Eagles’ captain is one of the league’s finest defensive midfielders and even popped up at the other end with a goal against Leicester.

Everton – James McCarthy – Everton have struggled at the back but impressed going forward – industrious midfielder James McCarthy, however, contributes at both ends.

Hull City – Abel Hernandez – Anther attacking deadline day signing, Abel Hernandez from Palermo looks like a player who was worth breaking their transfer record on.

Leicester City – Leonardo Ulloa – Leicester have largely been impressive across the board on their return to the Premier League, but it is hard to look past the goals of summer buy Leonardo Ulloa.

Liverpool – Raheem Sterling – It has been a disappointing start to the campaign for Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers, but wonderkid winger Raheem Sterling has continued his incredible development.

Manchester City – Edin Dzeko – The Bosnian’s development into an all-round centre forward has been remarkable – he scores goals, holds the ball up and occupies defenders, a superb a player.

Manchester United – Angel di Maria – United have toiled, but fans are right to be very excited by the displays of record signing Angel di Maria.

Newcastle United – Jack Colback – Newcastle have been dreadful as the story at St. James’ Park continues to surround the future of Alan Pardew, but Colback’s signing on a free transfer always looked like an intelligent move.

Queens Park Rangers – Niko Kranjcar – QPR are another side who have been poor overall, with Croatian Niko Kranjcar the best of a bad bunch at Loftus Road.

Southampton – Morgan Schneiderlin – For all of the players that were sold by Southampton this summer, they held on to the most important one – Schneiderlin is one of the best midfielders in the league.

Stoke City – Peter Crouch – The performances of Peter Crouch in attack have been the only thing consistent about Stoke’s topsy turvy start to the season.

Sunderland – Patrick van Aanholt – Draw specialists Sunderland are struggling for goals, but former Chelsea man van Aanholt has slotted in well at left back.

Swansea City – Nathan Dyer – One of the most underrated players in the Premier League, winger Nathan Dyer has been consistently excellent for the Swans this season.

Tottenham Hotspur – Hugo Lloris – As ever, Tottenham look to be a team in transition, but goalkeeper Hugo Lloris remains a beacon of excellence for them.

West Bromwich Albion – Saido Berahino – Berahino is one of the most exciting youngsters in England right now, having struck five goals already for the Baggies.

West Ham United – Diafra Sakhro – Another summer signing to have impressed, Sakho has caused real problems for defenders since his summer arrival from Metz.
