Diego Costa is the man the Arsenal manager fears as he looks for his side to gain revenge for the 6-0 thrashing they got at Chelsea last March.

The 25-year-old has already bagged eight goals inside his first five games for the club this season, causing Wenger to exclaim that he has never seen a player take so quickly to the Premier League.

Arsenal lag nine points behind the Blues going into Sunday’s game, and Wenger knows that his side will have to stop a “killer” if they are to stand any chance of gaining a positive result.

“He’s a very efficient player. The timing of his runs and his determination, his killing determination – you feel he’s a killer. He has that in him.

“He has done fantastically well, I am impressed by how well he has done. Coming from outside I have never seen a player adapt so quickly and the Premier League suits him. I hope he will dis-adapt for Sunday.

“He has also got players who can feed him like Cesc Fabregas and Eden Hazard, who can find him with final balls.

“He has all the aspects of a striker that you like. He’s focused, always determined, ready for a fight and I’m impressed.”
