City braced for Toure exit in next transfer window.
Manchester City are reportedly expecting to lose star player Yaya Toure to Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window, according to Le10Sport.
The Premier League champions think the Ivory Coast international wants one more big move before the end of his career, with PSG his likely destination as they expect the French giants to come in for him when the transfer window opens again in the winter.
Toure has been at the Etihad Stadium since 2010, becoming one of the team’s most important players in their two title-winning campaigns of 2011/12 and 2013/14, as well as netting goals in FA Cup and Capital One Cup final victories.
The 31-year-old’s departure would be a major blow for the club, though it is widely accepted that he has not performed at his best this season and it may be time to let him move on.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini would then have the likes of Juventus starlet Paul Pogba or Newcastle United midfielder Cheick Tiote in mind as Toure’s possible replacements if he does make the switch to the Parc des Princes.
Toure’s dip in form has coincided with his bizarre spat with the club over his birthday celebrations during the summer.
