Premier League XI Of Potential January Transfers With Sami Khedira, Arturo Vidal And £55m Arsenal Target Included

A starting XI made up entirely of players linked with a New Year move to England.

Although it is still nearly three months away the January transfer window is already expected to be a busy one in the Premier League with some of the best players in the world linked with a move there.

Here is an XI of potential purchases by clubs in the English top tier in the New Year.

GK – Iker Casillas

The Real Madrid captain has been out of favour at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu for some time now and Liverpool are strongly linked with the purchase of the goalkeeper as competition for the increasingly erratic Simon Mignolet.

This FC Barcelona right-back has admitted he is leaving the Nou Camp and wants to come to England, with rivals Manchester City and Manchester United thought to be leading the chase.

Was strongly linked with a move in the summer, but instead chose to stay with Atletico Madrid, yet the Brazilian could still be on the move regardless with the Red Devils and Chelsea keeping tabs.

This Italian is struggling for game time at the Juventus Stadium currently and with serious defensive worries it could be Louis van Gaal that swoops for Ogbonna.

It’s likely to be United who are the busiest in the next window as their squad still looks weak in areas and van Gaal wants competition for Luke Shaw at left-back in the shape of this Madrid star.

Staying at Old Trafford, this Fiorentina ace was strongly linked with a move in the summer having greatly impressed at the 2014 World Cup and current contract disputes could see him leave La Viola sooner rather than later.

Another who has been linked with van Gaal’s side for some time and it’s little wonder considering many rate this Juve ace as the bext box-to-box midfielder in the world.

Having entered the final year of his current contract with Los Blancos many are keeping an eye on this Germany international, but it appears to be Arsenal who are leading the way for his signature.

Another German now and someone who is known to have a £19.8m release clause with Borussia Dortmund that becomes active next summer and therefore the Bundesliga club might be convinced to sell before then if the price is right.
