These are our top ten Premier League bargain buys this summer:
10) Diego Costa (Atletico Madrid to Chelsea)
Diego Costa’s goalscoring record since joining Chelsea from Atletico Madrid this summer is exceptional, but can the £35m fee that the Blues paid to Atletico really be considered a bargain, even for such a wonderful footballer?
9) Philippe Senderos (Fulham to Aston Villa)
When Aston Villa moved to sign former Arsenal central defender Philippe Senderos from Fulham this summer, it was a move that was largely derided – but the free transfer is looking like a masterstroke from Paul Lambert.
8) Gylfi Sigurdsson (Tottenham Hotspur to Swansea City)
Icelandic international midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson was superb for the club last time around, on loan from Hoffenheim, and has been since returning in a cut price move this summer – the only question is, what went wrong at Tottenham Hotspur!?!

One of few players to impress for Liverpool so far this season has been new left back Alberto Moreno, whose £12 million move from Sevilla has made Manchester United’s signing of Luke Shaw look a little ridiculous.

For a player who is still young but has plenty of Premier League games under his belt, has both pace and strength and scores goals when played upfront, United should’ve demanding more than £16m from Arsenal for Danny Welbeck.
5) Dusan Tadic (FC Twente to Southampton)
A fee of just over £10m may be a relatively big investment for Southampton, but Serbian winger Dusan Tadic is proving to be well worth it with a stream of assists and looks like a real bargain already.
4) Mohamed Diame (West Ham United to Hull City)
Hull City were able to secure a bargain due to the imminent expiry of Mohamed Diame’s contract at West Ham United, signing a very competent Premier League midfielder on the cheap.
3) Cesc Fabregas (Barcelona to Chelsea)
We may have questioned whether a player signed for more than £30m for a bargain – but signing Cesc Fabregas for less than that figure from Barcelona was an inspired swoop by Jose Mourinho.
2) Fernando (FC Porto to Manchester City)
Very much in the mould of his domestic and international teammate Fernandinho, Manchester City secured one of the best holding midfielders around when they snagged Fernando from Porto for little more than £10m.
1) Diafra Sakho (Metz to West Ham United)
West Ham United new boy Diafra Sakho is quickly turning into a favourite in East London, having scored in each of his Premier League starts for the club so far. Were it not for Diego Costa, Sakho and the relatively low fee which West Ham signed him for would be getting much more attention and many more plaudits.
