Diego Costa, Chelsea

Since a £32m summer transfer from Atletico Madrid this striker has been showing what the Blues have been missing upfront since Didier Drogba was in form, scoring nine league goals already.

Angel di Maria, Manchester United

Became the most expensive player in British transfer history upon completing his £59.7m move from Real Madrid and has been brilliant since, scoring three goals and providing three assists in his five appearances to date.

Cesc Fabregas, Chelsea

Another new addition at Stamford Bridge as after three years with boyhood club FC Barcelona this midfielder returned to England and the former Arsenal captain has seven assists and has established a great relationship with Costa.

Eden Hazard, Chelsea

The form of Costa and Fabregas has somewhat overshadowed this Belgium international, but with two goals, an assist and some superb displays down the left flank the 23-year-old certainly deserves to be included.

Victor Moses, Stoke City

A loanee from West London now and in a new look Stoke team under manager Mark Hughes this Nigerian has played a crucial part, providing three assists and looking sharp in attacking midfield.

Morgan Schneiderlin, Southampton

There was something of a mass exodus from St Mary’s this summer as five first team players and boss Mauricio Pochettino all left and it looked as if Schneiderlin would follow suit, but after being convinced to stay the Frenchman has helped propel the Saints towards the top of the table.
