Manchester United target Arturo Vidal to be fined by Juventus for 5am party

Vidal is in trouble with the reigning Serie A champions after being spotted in a Turin bar in the early hours of Friday morning.

The Chile international was late to training the next day as a result and club administrator Giuseppe Marotta has revealed the midfielder will be fined.

“From a football standpoint, we cannot say anything. A fine of 100,000 [euros]? Perhaps it’s not enough,” Marotta was quoted by the Mirror.

Gareth Bales urges teammate Cristiano Ronaldo not to rejoin the Red Devils

There have been many reports linking Ronaldo with a return to Old Trafford, but his Real Madrid colleague Bale has told the forward he should stay.

The 29-year-old is said to be frustrated with the transfer policy at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu that has seen Mesut Ozil, Angel di Maria and Xabi Alonso all leave in recent times.

“Should Ronaldo go to Manchester United? Definitely not,” the Wales international was quoted by the Daily Express.

The right-back’s current contract at the Nou Camp expires next summer and the Brazilian has also admitted he would like to move to the Premier League.

However, Alves’ wife Dinorah Santa Ana says that her husband wants to stay with Barca now and that England is no longer his preferred destination.

“We would like to stay here, mainly because our children are here. No one has told us that they want him to go,” Santa Ana was quoted by te Daily Star.

It has not been a good start to the season for the new manager in terms of injuries, with several first team stars sidelined with problems.

Defence has been a particular issue for van Gaal with the likes of Jonny Evans, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling all out at times and now youngster McNair has joined that list.

According to the Mirror the 19-year-old has sustained a hamstring problem and will be out for the next three weeks.

FBI investigated threats from fans aimed at Malcolm Glazer

When the Glazer family completed their takeover at the Theatre of Dreams it was a hugely unpopular decision among many supporters and some even took to making threats.

In a 120 page dossier released by the FBI it reveals that Malcolm Glazer – who died in May this year – received several warnings at his office in the USA threatening to harm him and his family, according to the Mirror.

In the end no action was taken against the source of the threats as they could not be identified.
