Fabio Borini

The Liverpool striker had an opportunity to leave Anfield and move to Sunderland, a club where he had considerable success while he was on-loan there last season.

Instead he stayed with the Reds and has only started one game so far this season.

Borini will need to move in January if he wants to play regularly because he isn’t going to do that at Anfield.

Ashley Young

The winger started Manchester United’s first few games, but has been relegated back to the bench since Louis van Gaal completed his summer overhaul on the Red Devils squad.

Young is unlikely to get back into the United team and would be better off moving away from Old Trafford to somewhere he is guaranteed first team football.

John Obi Mikel

The Nigerian international was never likely to be a first choice midfielder in Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea side so it’s a bit odd that he stayed at Stamford Bridge.

Mamadou Sakho

The centre-back had a mixed first season with the Reds. This caused him to lose his place in Brendan Rodgers’ first team once Dejan Lovren was brought in.

Now that he is stuck on the bench at Anfield, he is very unlikely to show his full potential and probably needs a fresh start at a new club.

Darren Fletcher

Even though he was made United’s vice-captain, once van Gaal signed Daley Blind, Fletcher was unlikely to get much first team football.

The Scot is now entering the final years of his career and should consider a January move so that he isn’t stuck on the bench at the Theatre of Dreams.

Joel Campbell

Campbell had an excellent 2014 World Cup with Costa Rica and was also impressive for Olympiakos last season.

However, now that he is back at his parent club Arsenal, he has barely got any first team football.

The striker needs to move away from the Emirates Stadium or he will remain a bench warmer.

Roberto Soldado

The former Valencia striker was prolific in La Liga but has found things much tougher in the Premier League.

Soldado can’t even get into the Tottenham Hotspur first team now, with suggests it’s time to move on.

A return to Spain might be the best thing for the 29-year-old.
