After just six first team appearances Tyler Blackett is to be given a £50,000-a-week contract
With injury concerns and key departures from Old Trafford this summer Blackett has been fast-tracked to the first team by manager Louis van Gaal.
The 20-year-old has made six Premier League appearances for the club so far in 2014/15 and van Gaal has been so impressed he wants to reward the defender.
Blackett currently earns £2,000-a-week, but the Dutchman has recommended that this be improved and £50,000-a-week is being quoted, reports the Daily Mail.
