The Highest Paid Players From Every Premier League Club: Man United and City Stars Earning Monstrous Wages

The best paid player from each Premier League club.

This list may make for some shocking reading, as the disparity from the bottom to the top is quite a contrast. Some are quite low paid considering they’re Premier League footballers, but if anything it only serves to highlight where the silverware will likely be going at the end of the season.

20. Danny Ings – Burnley

Earning: £10k per week

Incredibly low paid for a ‘top earner’, Ings will need to earn a rise through goals, though he currently sits on the sidelines through injury.

19. Dwight Gayle – Crystal Palace

Earning: £18k per week

Gayle has an £8,000 jump on Ings, but still a relatively low ceiling on Palace’s wage cap.

18. Kasper Schmeichel – Leicester City

Earning: £30k per week

An even bigger jump from the previous position that sees Schmeichel earning what would have been considered as a top wage 15 years ago.

17. Nikica Jelavic – Hull City

Earning: £45k per week

Hull aren’t shy about raising their salary cap in order to bring in the kind of players that will help establish them as regulars in the Premier League.

16. Ashley Williams – Swansea City

Earning: £45k per week

Despite bringing in several new players over the past two years the Swans have made sure that their highest earner is the man that leads be example on the pitch every week.

15. Shane Long – Southampton

Earning: £50k per week

Amazingly, the Saints’ top earner isn’t even their top striker, and Long’s summer move from Hull is now looking like an increasingly expensive mistake.

14. Peter Crouch – Stoke City

Earning: £50k per week

Despite his advancing years and increasingly dwindling contribution in front of goal Crouchie still does enough to earn a very decent wage.

13. Adam Johnson – Sunderland

Earning: £50k per week

The Black Cats knew they would have to spend big in order to live up to what Man City were playing the England winger, and he remains their highest paid player despite Jack Rodwell’s recent arrival.

12. Stephane Sessegnon – West Bromwich Albion

Earning: £50k per week

How the Baggies found £50,000 per week for a player is anybody’s guess, but that’s what they had to pay to persuade the forward to leave the Stadium of Light.

11. Darren Bent – Aston Villa

Earning: £65k per week

Considering Bent is now Villa’s fourth choice striker in their pecking order he still picks up a very healthy weekly wage.

10. Joey Barton – Queens Park Rangers

Earning: £70k per week

Barton gave up Champions League football with Marseille to boss QPR’s midfield. That and Harry Redknapp over pays for everybody!

9. Leighton Baines – Everton

Earning: £80k per week

Not only the highest paid player at the club, but also the highest paid full-back in the entire Premier League, too.

8. Fabricio Coloccini – Newcastle United

Earning: £80k per week

Their best player is earning that much and they’re still a shambles defensively.

7. Andy Carroll – West Ham United

Earning: £90k per week

Carroll earns nine times more than poor Danny Ings in 20th, but is he worth it?

6. Alexis Sanchez – Arsenal

Earning: £140k per week

Another huge jump between seventh and sixth sees the Gunners new boy picking up a very generous weekly wage in north London. Whether he’ll prove to be worth more than the club’s current stars, though, remains to be seen.

5. Steven Gerrard – Liverpool

Earning: £140k per week

The most loyal man in the Premier League is understandably very well paid, and he is still worth every penny, too.

4. Emmanuel Adebayor – Tottenham Hotspur

Earning: £170k per week

How on earth Adebayor is communing this kind of wage is anyone’s guess, and he is still going nowhere near being worth that much.

3. Eden Hazard – Chelsea

Earning: £185k per week

The Belgian is coming into his own at Stamford Bridge and his salary is starting to reflect that.

2. Yaya Toure – Manchester City

Earning: £200k per week

Make that £200,000 a week and a birthday cake once a year.

1. Radamel Falcao – Manchester United

Earning: £350k per week

Falcao is earning absolutely obscene money, but the jury is still out over whether he is worth that kind of outlay. It’s also worth noting that Wayne Rooney reportedly has a highest earner clause installed in his contract.
