Spain suffered an embarrassing 2-1 defeat to Slovakia on Thursday.

Today, Vicente del Bosque’s men take on Luxembourg, who are not the whipping boys they once were.

Spain will still expect to win and score a bagful of goals in the process.

However, Luxembourg should not be treated with complete contempt.

The European minnows have scored in each of their last four games – a run that has seen them claim impressive draws against Belarus and Italy.

Furthermore, last year, Luxembourg won 3-2 against Northern Ireland – a nation who beat Spain back in 2006. Using some very funky logic, we reckon this means that Luxembourg have a chance, albeit a tiny one, of causing one of the biggest upsets of all time.
