Pumas UNAM’s Eduardo Herrera has been lauded by the national team manager.

Eduardo Herrera had struggled to make an impact at his club Pumas UNAM until this season. He had spent much of the last 12 months on loan at Santos Laguna, but returned to his parent club after limited opportunities in Torreon.

New manager Guillermo Vazquez gave him a chance in the Copa MX which he took spectacularly, and since then he’s managed to score nine goals in all competitions and five in the league.

Mexico’s manager Miguel Herrera noted his excellent season during a midweek press conference, hinting that a national team call up might not be far away.
