Season tickets in the Premier League continue to rise in price throughout the division…
The BBC’s annual Price of Football study has released its results today, and amongst the data collected, season ticket prices provide the most general impression of the cost of going to a match. There are plenty of interesting things to be inferred from the list, especially about the wider English economy. While successful clubs gravitate towards the top of the list as they are able to charge more, geography is a far more influential factor: struggling QPR sit fourth in the table because of their favourable location; with Swansea charging almost half of what Rangers do, despite their recent successes and even smaller stadium.
