Juventus Demand £48m From Man United If They Want To Sign Arturo Vidal

Serie A champions Juventus have upped their price for Manchester United target Arturo Vidal following a renewed round of interest from Real Madrid, the Daily Express reports.

The Chilean international is heading up Louis Van Gaal after the Red Devils cooled off on their interest in Roma star Kevin Strootman.

United pulled out all the stops in their attempts to sign Vidal over the summer transfer window, but could not convince the midfield powerhouse to trade Turin for the Premier League.

However, European champions Real Madrid are also said to be deeply interested in signing the 27-year-old as coach Carlo Ancelotti looks to beef up his squad, meaning Juve will look to take advantage of the two side’s by upping Vidal’s price to a staggering £48m.

Juve are willing to allow Vidal to leave after a series of unprofessional incidents off the field, and may look to use him as bait in their quest to sign Madrid star Sami Khedira.
