Angel di Maria, Manchester United

Whilst the Red Devils continue to try and find their feet under the guidance of new manager Louis van Gaal, this club record £59.7m signing has simply hit the ground running and scored twice and provided two assists in United’s games in September.

Mile Jedinak, Crystal Palace

It was a fine month for Neil Warnock and his Palace side has they won two and drew one of their three fixtures including an impressive 3-2 victory at Everton and captain Jedinak netted twice during that time.

Graziano Pelle, Southampton

Another new signing now and with Shane Long struggling for form this Italy international is making up for it with some fine displays in front of goal and helped the Saints to three victories with three goals.

Diafra Sakho, West Ham United

One of the surprise packages so far this term have been the Hammers, defying those that thought they would struggle with some great performances and in September this striker scored three times.

Morgan Schniederlin, Southampton

Heavily linked with a move away from St Mary’s over the summer it’s proving vital that the midfielder was convinced to stay as he continues to marshal the side from the South Coast.

Leonardo Ulloa, Leicester City

The fourth new signing on the shortlist proving that it doesn’t always take time to settle in English football and in a month that included a brilliant 5-3 victory over Man United, Ulloa scored three goals.
