Liverpool are set to be without Daniel Sturridge for a further month after he suffered another injury blow just two days before his proposed return to the side, the Metro reports.

The striker has been missing for six weeks after suffering a thigh injury on international duty and was set to make his comeback for Brendan Rodgers’ men in tomorrow’s trip to QPR.

Brendan Rodgers tonight warned England boss Roy Hodgson he will have to fight to regain Raheem Sterling’s trust, the Daily Star reports.

The Liverpool manager, who learned today that Daniel Sturridge will be out for another four weeks, believes Hodgson should not have revealed Sterling told him he was tired on the eve of the Euro 2016 qualifier against Estonia.

Liverpool could be set to snap up long-time target Andre Ayew on a free transfer, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Ghanaian forward’s contract runs out at Ligue 1 giants Marseille at the end of the current season and his side are unable to afford a renewal.

Liverpool striker Fabio Borini could be on his way to Inter in January, the Daily Star reports.

The Italian striker turned down moved to Premier League duo Sunderland and QPR over the summer and his agent, Marco De Marchi, claims there are a whole host of clubs lining up for his signature when the window re-opens.

Liverpool have been linked with the France international but Chris Waddle is not sure Gignac’s technical ability is good enough for the highest level, the Daily Star reports.

He said: “Not the most technical, not the most gifted, yes he’s scoring goals at the minute but Marseille are flying.
