The Spanish giants are known for their big spending and eagerness to bring in the biggest names in the game, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez among the most high profile additions in recent times.

Still, with Ronaldo being linked with a return to Manchester United, and Bale also a target, it could be that Carlo Ancelotti will bring through a new generation in the near future, following the exits of big names such as Angel Di Maria and Xabi Alonso this summer.

Recent transfer speculation suggests some Premier League stars could be on their radar, with these five possibly in line for big moves to the Bernabeu either in January or next summer:

1) Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint-Germain)

Unsettled at Paris Saint-Germain, Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani has been linked with a move to Real Madrid among other top clubs, with the Spanish giants possibly set to make changes upfront as they offload Karim Benzema to Liverpool this January.

2) Eden Hazard (Chelsea)

The ideal replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid have identified Chelsea winger Eden Hazard as a possible addition, and there’s no doubt the world class Belgian would fit the ‘Galactico’ category.

3) Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)

Although Raheem Sterling might be about to sign a new bumper contract at Liverpool, the England youngster is no doubt a potentially world class attacking player who will surely be among Real’s top targets again after catching their eye recently.

4) Arturo Vidal (Juventus)

A top target for Manchester United, Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal is certainly one of the best players in the world in his position at the moment and one who could make a great signing for Real, who may try to land him in a swap deal involving Sami Khedira this January.

5) Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

Linked with Real Madrid this summer, Sergio Aguero’s fine form for Manchester City is likely to see him come up on the Spanish giants’ radar again, particularly if they let the likes of Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema go anytime soon.
