Manchester United look set to stun Arsenal and Chelsea as they prepare a huge contract offer of £200,000 per week to beat them to the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, according to the Daily Star.

The 27-year-old is attracting plenty of interest from a number of top clubs at the moment as he looks set to run down his contract at the Bernabeu and leave the club on a free transfer next summer.
There has also been talk that the German international could leave in January, though with foreign clubs also able to offer him a deal for next season from winter onwards, it is now thought that the Red Devils will put a big-money contract on the table in the coming months to persuade him to choose a move to Old Trafford.
United are ready to pay Khedira £200,000 per week and make him their main man in the middle of the park – two things that Arsenal and Chelsea are unlikely to be able to offer to the former Stuttgart man.
Louis van Gaal has been chasing a new signing in midfield, and now looks to have settled on the Bernabeu misfit as his priority target for that position.
