(Image) New MLS Structure Set To Be Announced?

If reports this morning are to be believed, the MLS is on the verge of announcing a new league structure.

Currently the 19 sides are split into an Eastern and Western Conference, though all that could change with the growth of the league to 20 teams in 2015.

The league is unbalanced – meaning all the sides do not play each other an equal number of times, and some teams might play more sides more than others. It is similar to all US sports and is caused by the size of the country (though other large countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Russia, China and Australia all manage with a single league).

The MLS is set to address the problem for next season.
