(Image) Mario Balotelli Wasn’t The Only Liverpool Player To Swap Shirts Against Real Madrid, Steven Gerrard Did Too

What is the difference?

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has found himself in hot water for swapping shirts with Pepe at half time in Wednesday’s 3-0 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Why this is such a crime is beyond me. After all, Steven Gerrard swapped shirts with former Reds defender Alvaro Arbeloa after the final whistle.

Arbeloa was spotted with Gerrard’s jersey in the Real dressing room following the final whistle (picture below).

The Spain international was not wearing the shirt though. He and Luka Modric were topless and it is fair to say that both men are absolutely ripped.

Back to the subject of Balotelli though: charge the Italian £50 for a new shirt or shut up about it!
