Victor Valdes Rejects Manchester United’s Short Term Offer After Knocking Back Liverpool

Spanish international turns down chance to link up with United.

Reports on Friday emerged claiming that former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes was on his way to Manchester United after turning down the chance to link up with Liverpool. However, it now appears that he has also locked United back in their own advances, according to the Eurosport journalist Francois David.

The respected writer is currently working with both Eurosport and Le Parisien, whilst based in Barcelona, and he took to Twitter on Friday morning to report that a move to Old Trafford now looks unlikely now that Valdes rejected the club’s offer.

As of yet it is now known exactly why he has opted to turn the former Premier League champions down, but it may have something to do with the early season form of David de Gea, who would likely keep Valdes on the bench.

Valdes also turned town Liverpool last week, and his search for a new club looks set to continue.
