Ronaldo disses Messi: Cristiano not interested in Lionel

We reckon that Carlo Ancelotti will make two changes from the side that dismantled Liverpool so impressive in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.

Here’s who we think he’ll go for…

GK) Iker Casillas

The Spanish legend is starting ahead of Keylor Navas right now, and should keep his spot barring a late injury.

DR) Dani Carvajal

Carvajal is expected to come in for usual backup Alvaro Arbeloa, who played versus Liverpool midweek.

DL) Marcelo

With Fabio Coentrao crocked, Marcelo will continue at left-back.

DC) Sergio Ramos

The world-class centre-back started training again on Thursday, and will likely be selected to start, at the expense of either Pepe or young Raphael Varane.

DC) Pepe

Raphael Varane will be unlucky not to start, but because of his tenacity and experience, we think Pepe could get the nod.

MC) Toni Kroos

The German summer signing has settled in immediately, and will look to control possession and dictate tempo.

MRC) James Rodriguez

The Colombian is an automatic starter for Los Blancos, and provides defensive help as well as goals and assists.

MLC) Luka Modric

The least heralded member of Real Madrid’s side, Modric is creatively exceptional, and keeps play ticking over in the centre.

AMR) Isco

The young Spaniard will start in Gareth Bale’s absence through injury. He played superbly against Liverpool, and will not be considered a weakness for Ancelotti’s men.

AML) Cristiano Ronaldo

The world’s best player starts on the left, but spends so much time in the opposition box that he’s practically a second striker. The sensation has already notched 20 goals this term…

FC) Karim Benzema

The superstar Frenchman should lead the line, with Javier Hernandez available from the bench.
