Tottenham have a fantastic record away to Aston Villa, with the London side recording a 2-0 victory at Villa Park last season and a 4-0 win the year before that.
Spurs haven’t exactly been in fantastic form recently, coming off the back of a shock 2-1 home loss against a struggling Newcastle side. Aston Villa however are in equally bad shape and have lost all of their last five Premier League matches.
Villa got off to a flying start this season, but have failed to keep up the momentum. Paul Lambert’s side have managed to accrue just four points this season from all of their home games, so Mauricio Pochettino will be confident his team can bounce back and grab the win.
Tottenham are likely to name a fairly unchanged side, with the possibility of Harry Kane coming in for Emmanuel Adebayor and Kyle Naughton replacing Eric Dier at right back after returning from injury.
Alan Hutton has been ruled out with injury for Aston Villa, so Matthew Lowton is likely to continue at right back. Charles N’Zogbia may also be fighting with Andreas Weimann for a starting spot come Sunday.
