Various recent reports suggest that Louis van Gaal has his eye on more new additions in that part of the pitch, with some highly exciting big names being linked with moves to Old Trafford in recent times.

It is likely that squad players such as Juan Mata and Ashley Young could make way to help fund these moves, as well as to make room in the team for new attacking players, with these three world class names coming up on United’s radar in recent times:

1) Gareth Bale (Real Madrid)

In what could be a sensational £90m move, Gareth Bale continues to be linked with a return to the Premier League with Manchester United as Real Madrid could reportedly be ready to let him go for the right price. There’s no doubt the Welshman would make an excellent addition to the Red Devils squad, even with the likes of Angel Di Maria to compete with for a place in the starting lineup.

2) Julian Draxler (Schalke)

Wanted by Arsenal, £37m-rated Schalke starlet Julian Draxler has also come up on United’s radar in recent times. The German international is one of the most highly regarded young players in the world at the moment and would make another exciting addition to the United squad.

3) Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund)

Finally, in a move worth around £20m, United want to beat Arsenal and a host of other clubs to the signing of Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus, who could be brought in to compete with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao for a place upfront, though he can fill several attacking midfield roles.
