Chelsea extended their unbeaten start to the season to 15 games on Saturday by battling to a 2-1 home win over Queens Park Rangers.

A lovely Oscar strike and an Eden Hazard penalty secured maximum points for the Blues, who were momentarily worried by a 62nd-minute Charlie Austin equaliser.

Here’s how Jose Mourinho’s men rated…

GK: Thibaut Courtois – 6/10

Beaten by QPR’s first shot on target, but he was commanding as ever when it came to collecting crosses.

RB: Branislav Ivanovic – 7/10

Ivanovic really enjoyed this game. He spent most of the first half in QPR’s half, coming close to scoring, only to squander a great chance, following a pass from Willian.

CB: Gary Cahill – 5/10

Far from his best performance of the season. Cahill really struggled at times, especially up against Bobby Zamora in the second half.

CB: John Terry – 7/10

Compensated for Cahill’s under-par display with solid captain’s performance.

LB: Filipe Luis – 7/10

Making just his second Premier League start, Luis was one of Chelsea’s best players. His crossing was excellent. The suspended Cesar Azpilicueta may find himself sitting out more often!

CM: Cesc Fabregas – 8/10

Set up Oscar for the game’s opening goal. Cesc’s passing was sensational all afternoon.

CM: Nemanja Matic 7-10

Was a strong presence in midfield, but a tad fortunate not to pick up a yellow card, having committed four fouls – more than any other player on the pitch.

AM: Willian – 5/10

Struggled to get into the game. Was replaced by Didier Drogba just after the hour.

AM: Oscar – 8/10

Produced a glorious bending finish to put Chelsea in front. Look dangerous throughout.

AM: Eden Hazard – 9/10

Won – and scored – the penalty which ultimately decided the game. Was the most dangerous attacker on the field by a long way.

ST: Diego Costa – 5/10

Was on the pitch for 77 minutes, but only managed one shot, which was off target.

Subs:
Didier Drogba – 6/10
Andre Schurrle – 7/10
Ramires – n/a
