The Arizona Cardinals are tied for the league’s best record  but they face a tough test on Sunday as they hit the road to face the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cardinals (6-1) have got off to their best start in 40 years, but having been outscored by an average of 21.2 points while dropping 14 straight regular-season road games against the Cowboys, they face a real test to maintain their current form.

However, they will have quarterback Carson Palmer lead the charge and he has been an inspirational part of their success in recent times and will hold the key to whether or not they are capable of silencing the AT&T Stadium.

Cornerback Patrick Peterson is expected to be cleared to play after passing concussion protocols earlier this week.

In contrast, the Cowboys might be without their first-choice signal-caller, as Tony Romo continues to struggle with a back injury.

Romo is expected to be a game-time decision due to a third back injury in 18 months, as after undergoing back surgery in December, he suffered a big hit in the loss to the Washington Redskins which aggravated a problem area.

However, the Cowboys are still optimistic that he will be able to feature, although Brandon Weeden is ready to step in if required after leading Dallas to two scoring drives in Romo’s absence last week.

DeMarco Murray will likely be counted on heavily again as he leads the NFL with 1,054 rushing yards while averaging 5.1 per carry with seven scores.

Murray needs 67 more yards to match his career-high from last year and he will be confident of achieving his target on Sunday after reaching 100 yards in each game this season so far.
