It’s the New England Patriots against the Denver Broncos, Tom Brady vs Peyton Manning as the two rivals square off at the Gillette Stadium on Sunday.

Broncos (6-1) coach John Fox attempted to deflect the attention away from the Brady-Manning clash, and he insisted that Sunday is about two top teams in the NFL going head-to-head.

The best record in the AFC is up for grabs as Brady looks to improve on his 10-5 career record against Manning’s teams, including the playoffs, but the Broncos won the most recent match-up in last season’s AFC championship game.

Manning’s 22 touchdown passes are tied for the NFL lead with Andrew Luck after he threw three in last Thursday’s win over San Diego, with Emmanuel Sanders emerging as yet another threat in the offensive unit.

Denver rank sixth in total offense at 398.4 yards per game, but naturally Manning still believes that they can improve moving forward.

The Patriots (6-2) have won 13 straight games at Foxboro after routing the Chicago Bears last week, with Brady continuing to silence his critics after being blasted for a poor start to the season.

Brady finished 30 of 35 for 354 yards and five touchdowns with tight end Rob Gronkowski benefiting the most with nine catches for 149 yards and three touchdowns.

There are various other sub-plots in this clash with Aqib Talib going up against his former team-mates, while Manning conceded that he will have to accurate if targeting cornerback Darrelle Revis’ coverage.

Nevertheless, this could still come down to who executes better between Manning and Brady, but it promises to be a thrilling clash between two of the greatest quarterbacks in the NFL.
