This is our Premier League team of the week:

GK) David de Gea (Manchester United)

The Spaniard was extremely unlucky to be one the losing side in the Manchester derby, making a string of fine saves to keep his side in the match.

RB) Calum Chambers (Arsenal)

The young Engish right back had a fine afternoon for the Gunners against Burnley, bagging himself a goal and assist against the struggling Clarets.

CB) John Terry (Chelsea)

Terry found himself in his element against a physical QPR side, with the Chelsea captain predictably coming out on top against Charlie Austin.

CB) Fabricio Coloccini (Newcastle United)

Newcastle continued their incredible revival with a win over Liverpool at the weekend, with their clean sheet largely being down to the imperious Coloccini.

LB) Toby Alderweireld (Southampton)

Atletico Madrid loanee Alderweireld was a rock at the back as the Saints beat Hull City at the KC Stadium to keep up their fine form.

CM) Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea)

Fabregas is having some season and the Spaniard put in another imperious performance for Jose Mourinho as he controlled the game against QPR.

CM) Victor Wanyama (Southampton)

Southampton’s Kenyan international was physically dominant in midfield all afternoon and topped off his display with a stunning strike after Eldin Jakupovic had gone awol.

CM) Yaya Toure (Manchester City)

Has come in for some criticism this season, but Toure was at his best in the Manchester derby and could’ve had four or five assists with better finishing from teammates.

ARM) Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal)

The Chilean has been Arsenal’s best player all weekend and continued that theme as Arsenal strolled past Burnley, with Alexis at the heart of everything for the Gunners.

ALM) Moussa Sissoko (Newcastle United)

Powerful, quick and skillful, Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko was the best player on the pitch as Newcastle shocked Liverpool at St. James’ Park.

SC) Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)

Aguero was superb for City in the Manchester derby, running the channels with energy, chasing down the ball and troubling United with his pace and work rate – not to mention a fine goal.
