Arsenal can take a huge step towards qualification for the knock-out stages of the Champions League with a second successive victory over Belgian champions Anderlecht at the Emirates Stadium this evening. This is how we expect the Gunners to line up:

GK) Wojciech Szczesny

Polish goalkeeper Szczesny is set to return for Damian Martinez after missing the game in Brussels through suspension.

RB) Calum Chambers

Will be looking to build on a fine performance at the weekend that saw Chambers stab home his first Arsenal goal.

CB) Per Mertesacker

There will be plenty of pressure on the experienced German international as the senior man in the back line.

CB) Nacho Monreal

The Spaniard will continue to fill in for Laurent Koscielny in an unfamiliar central defensive role – Anderlecht are likely to target this.

LB) Kieran Gibbs

Scored a crucial equaliser in Brussels and will be looking to be an asset to Arsenal going forwards once again.

CM) Mathieu Flamini

Flamini will be charged with getting in amongst Anderlecht’s talented young midfielders, particularly playmaker Dennis Praet.

CM) Mikel Arteta

Arsene Wenger fielded two defensive midfielders against Burnley at the weekend and there is no reason why he won’t do so again.

ARM) Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Had a storming match against Burnley which he will be looking to build on after a stop-start first few weeks of the season.

ACM) Alexis Sanchez

Two goals against Burnley continued his flying start to the season – is playing the number ten role fantastically well in the absence of Mesut Ozil.

ALM) Santi Cazorla

Cazorla provides a consistent creative threat from out on the left and drifts inside, allowing Gibbs to overlap.

SC) Danny Welbeck

Welbeck will be hoping for a repeat of his hat-trick heroics last time out at the Emirates Stadium in this competition, when he eviscerated Galatasaray.
