20) Aston Villa, Villa Park

The noise at Villa Park hasn’t been helped by the team’s terrible form. They now haven’t won in six games.

19) Tottenham Hotspur, White Hart Lane

The atmosphere is known to pick up when they’re playing against one of their London rivals, but generally White Hart Lane is eerily quiet, with the fans happy to get on their team’s back if they’re not hitting the required standards.

18) Southampton, St. Mary’s

The recent increased success could lead to more noise at St. Mary’s, but otherwise it is more welcoming to the opposition than most.

17) Arsenal, The Emirates

The extortionate price of tickets at to watch the Gunners has led to quiet crowds. Their old ground, the “Highbury Library,” wasn’t much better.

16) Manchester United, Old Trafford

Actually seeming to improve since the team has become less successful, Old Trafford has been criticised for being too corporate, with fans cone famously described as ‘The Prawn Sandwich Brigade,’ by Roy Keane.

15) Sunderland, The Stadium of Light

With growing amounts of empty seats following countless relegation battles, Sunderland could do with improving results to help the noise at their ground.

14) Queens Park Rangers, Loftus Road

Another ground that would be helped out by some better results, Loftus Road is the smallest stadium in the Premier League.

13) Chelsea, Stamford Bridge

The atmosphere at Chelsea’s home ground isn’t as bad as Jose Mourinho claims, but it could definitely improve.

12) Newcastle United, St. James’ Park

Disillusionment from the fans regarding owner Mike Ashley and manager Alan Pardew will not have helped the sound at St. James’ Park.

11) Leicester City, King Power Stadium

One of the newer “bowl” stadiums, the atmosphere has been helped by that first season optimism.

10) Hull City, KC Stadium

Since the fan anger at the attempted name change to “Hull Tigers” died down, the KC has been getting back to its noisy best.

9) Manchester City, The Etihad

A much more expectant crowd after the billionaire takeover, but still fairly loud. Relatively cheap tickets no doubt help this out.

8) Burnley, Turf Moor

First season back in the Premier League, and the crowds are just as excited as you would expect. Need to get a win from somewhere though or that could change quickly.

7) West Brom, The Hawthorns

Now Premier League regulars, West Brom have been helped by their fans to become a mid-table team following their years yoyoing between divisions.

6) West Ham, Upton Park

Hammers fans have always had a reputation for creating a hostile atmosphere at their home ground. Their amazing start to the season will have helped this as well.

5) Swansea City, The Liberty Stadium

The Liberty stadium has been a major reason why the Swans have taken to life in the top division so easily.

4) Everton, Goodison Park

One of the oldest purpose built football stadiums in the world, opened in 1892. It now literally shakes when the crowd gets going.

3) Liverpool, Anfield

The Kop end nearly dragged Liverpool to the title last season, and is legendary for the atmosphere it creates – especially on European evenings.

2) Stoke City, The Britannia Stadium

One of the major reasons why opposition teams hate playing on a cold Tuesday night in Stoke is the noise generated by the crowd.

1) Crystal Palace, Selhurst Park

Driven by a group of radical fans sitting in the Holmesdale End, a barrage of constant sound welcomes teams to Selhurst Park.
