Inter Milan interested in swoop for two Liverpool stars

Both Glen Johnson and Fabio Borini could be on their way to Inter Milan in January, according to the Express.

Johnson’s contract runs out in the summer, and a January move could entice the England International. It is thought to be harder to bring the Italian to the club, but Borini did mention last month that he was flattered by the interest.

He said, “That admiration makes us happy and proud.

“Of course I was aware of it and the interest in the player, but it’s pleasing that Ausilio is stating that publicly, I knew that Inter and other clubs were interested this summer.”

Liverpool target training with reserves

Real Madrid’s Asier Illarramendi is training with the club’s reserves, according to the Daily Star.

The midfielder has been linked to both Liverpool and Arsenal, and this news will give hope to both clubs of making a move for the player.

The former Real Sociedad player has struggled since moving to the Bernabeu, and has grown frustrated at his lack of chances in the first team.

Reds legend claims Rodgers has alienated the fans

Liverpool legend Steve Nicols has said that Brendan Rodgers has alienated the fans with his team selection for the Champions League tie with Real Madrid, reports talkSPORT.

However, he did add that he didn’t see the Northern Irishman losing his job.

Nicols said, “What he did, against Real Madrid, is put a lot of fans against him. The owners will persevere with him. I don’t think, by any strength of the imagination, he won’t be there at the end of the season, but he’s alienated a lot of fans.”

Gareth Bale surprised by Liverpool team selection

Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale was surprised by Liverpool’s team selection, but believed that they did give a good account of themselves on Tuesday night, reports Goal.com.

The Welshman told ITV, “I was surprised by how many changes [they made], but they worked hard, they gave a good account of themselves.”

Mexican keeper could be on his way to Anfield

Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa could move to Liverpool in January, according to the Mirror.

The 29-year-old only moved to current club Malaga in the summer, but apparently the Spanish side could be willing to let the World Cup star leave for £4 million in the January window.
