The Portuguese left-back was close to a move at the beginning of last season, back when David Moyes was the manager of the Red Devils. Although that eventually fell apart, apparently the 26-year-old has now been told he can leave the club.
Los Blancos are asking for £27.4 million for the player, a high price for someone who would surely have to share the left-back slot with Luke Shaw at Old Trafford.
