The Switzerland international has grown increasingly unhappy in recent times due to a lack of first team opportunities at the Allianz Arena.

As a result of this Shaqiri has been heavily linked with a January departure from Bayern and the English trio are on red alert as a result.

The 23-year-old had been rumoured with a move to Bundesliga rivals Schalke 04, but their sporting director Horst Heldt has played down the talk and this leaves the door open for the Gunners, Reds and Spurs.

Shaqiri joined the reigning German champions from Swiss side FC Basel in 2012 for a fee of around £10m and has since played 78 matches in all competitions and scored 16 goals.

Despite not being an established figure in Pep Guardiola’s starting XI the attacking midfielder is for his national side and to date has earned 41 caps and has scored 13 times, including a goal of the tournament contender at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Although generally Shaqiri likes to operate from the right flank he is equally as adept on the left or as a No.10.
