Less than 24 hours after the West Bromwich Albion forward received his first England call-up some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs are looking at signing him.

According to the Daily Star, the Reds, United and Spurs are all keen to land the 21-year-old, who has been in fine form this season with seven league strikes to date.

Reds joined by Everton and Tottenham in pursuit of Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph

In a blow for manager Paul Lambert the England international has told the Scot he has no intention of signing a new contract at Villa Park, reports the Telegraph.

Delph is not in the final year of his current deal with the Birmingham side and despite being offered a four-year extension with wages of around £50,000-a-week, the 24-year-old has made it clear to Lambert he wants to leave.

This has seen both Merseyside clubs and Spurs show interest as the midfield ace will be one of the most sought after free agents next summer.

Arsenal and Tottenham join Brendan Rodgers in race to sign Bayern Munich’s Xherdan Shaqiri

Another player who is drawing much interest from England is Shaqiri, with the Switzerland international said to be unhappy at the Allianz Arena currently.

According to the Daily Star, Shaqiri is frustrated with his lack of first team opportunities under head coach Pep Guardiola and is looking for an exit from Bayern.

Both North London sides and Rodgers have shown interest in bringing the 22-year-old to their respective clubs.

Glen Johnson considering international retirement after England snub

The right-back has been excluded from Hodgson’s squad to play Slovenia and Scotland and is considering calling time on his international career as a result, reports the Telegraph.

The 30-year-old has lost his place to Arsenal youngster Calum Chambers and the 19-year-old’s former Southampton teammate Nathaniel Clyne.

Johnson made his debut for the country back in 2003 and was first choice at the back at both the 2010 and 2014 World Cups, as well as Euro 2012.

Rodgers admits he faces the sack if he gets too many decisions wrong

The Northern Irishman has come in for severe criticism this week after fielding what was considered a second-string side during the 1-0 loss to Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Many felt that Rodgers’ decision went against the club’s proud European history and the 41-year-old has admitted that if he gets too many decisions wrong he will be axed by the Anfield hierarchy.

“If you make more wrong ones than right ones you will be out of work, it’s as simple as that,” the former Swansea City boss was quoted by the Guardian.
