Liverpool: 2001 to 2002.

Chelsea: 2008 to 2012.

Boudewijn Zenden

Chelsea: 2001 to 2004.

Liverpool: 2005 to 2007.

Glen Johnson

Chelsea: 2003 to 2007.

Liverpool: 2009 to present.

Never quite made it at Stamford Bridge after being snapped up from West Ham United, but after impressing at Portsmouth the Merseysiders signed Johnson and he has been their first choice right-back ever since.

Joe Cole

Chelsea: 2003 to 2010.

Liverpool: 2010 to 2013.

Won three English titles with the Blues and was a stalwart in their starting XI, but later during a loan spell under Brendan Rodgers the decline of the midfielder began.

Chelsea: 2010 to 2013.

Having impressed at West Ham the Israeli moved to Anfield and although was solid enough he hopped from club to club from then on ,also playing for the Gunners and now QPR.

Fernando Torres

Liverpool: 2007 to 2011.

Chelsea: 2011 to present.

Was excellent for the Reds and a complete disaster for the Blues, but still remains the West London club’s record signing at a whopping £50m.

Daniel Sturridge

Chelsea: 2009 to 2013.

Liverpool: 2013 to present.

May have won more silverware during his time in the capital, but it is since joining Rodgers’ team that the England international has become recognised as one of the best strikers in Europe.

Raul Meireles

Liverpool: 2010 to 2011.

Chelsea: 2011 to 2012.

The heavily tattooed midfielder spent a very brief period in England before heading to Turkey and is now back in his native Portugal with Boavista.

Came through the ranks at Crystal Palace, developed well at Wigan Athletic and has since had his career stalled by his time at both the Bridge and Anfield.
